Adaptable Architecture Gallery for the Architectural Association of London






ARQUITECTUM presents its 8th International Contest “LONDON 2008”. Exhibition hosted by the Architectural Association School of London




Theme
A movable architecture gallery, containing and distributing design to the city; travels across the River Thames to connect the various art spaces and collect visitors along the river; especially in the South Bank. The exhibition space should adapt to the movement of the river, to the different requirements of an exhibition and the artist, and to the weather in London; meaning summer and winter potentialities.

Submission
All entries will submit in digital format: One JPG, by e-mail.
Schedule
Competition starts: April 1st, 2008
Last day for registration: June 30th, 2008
Submission day: July 20th, 2008
ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNING PROJECT: August 15th, 2008
Exhibition
During the week of 22nd – 26th September
The winner and a companion will come to London, and an exhibition and ceremony will take place at the AA, together with the members of the jury.
An special publication entitled “LONDON 2008” will be made, and it will include all the winning projects of the competition (including the honourable mentions) as well as the profile of the authors. This publication will be distributed among the winning architects and 500 will be distributed among the potential clients on our data base.

Prefiro o que ficou em terceiro lugar. Muito simples e muito versatil. O primeiro tenho sérias duvida em relação ao funcionamento... imaginem 100 pessoas dentro deste edificio e subitamente o edificio fecha, volta ao seu estado inicial...:rolleyes:
