lllARKlll Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 http-~~-//bustler.net/images/uploads/architekturpreis_08_01.jpg Posted: Friday, June 06, 2008 The 17th Concrete Architecture Awards, organized by the Federal Association of the German Cement Industry, raised to the highest level of excellence this year. The competition called for entries in cooperation with the Federation of German Architects (BDA). The Concrete Architecture Award was created in 1974 to honor out-of-the-ordinary concrete constructions. Alongside the optimum combination of design and construction, the most important criterion for the award is the harmonious integration of the building into the surrounding built-up area or landscape. This time, the jury, presided by renowned Hamburg-based architect Jan Störmer, had to judge 121 entries. Seldom, so the judges, were the outstanding entries so close to each other like in this year. Thus, the separation between prizes and citations is rather fluent. Three prizes were given, as well as four citations.PRIZES 2008:Mercedes-Benz Museum, Stuttgart Architects: Ben van Berkel / UNStudio, Amsterdam Client: DaimlerChrysler Real Estates, Berlin Completion: March 2006http://www.unstudio.comFonte: Bustler Quote
arklab Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Agrada-me sobremaneira a arquitectura do UN studio.
* directivas = tudo pormenorizado.... Quote

The geometric model employed is based on the trefoil organization. The building’s program is distributed over the surfaces which ascend incrementally from ground level, spiraling around a central atrium. The Museum experience begins with visitors traveling up through the atrium to the top floor from where they follow the two main paths that unfold chronologically as they descend through the building. The two main trajectories, one being the car and truck collection and the other consisting of historical displays called the Legend rooms, spiral downwards on the perimeter of the display platforms, intersecting with each other at several points allowing the visitor to change routes Fonte: UNStudio Quote
