Estou no mínimo curioso...

Gehry goes underground

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has selected Frank O. Gehry to design a major expansion of is Neoclassical museum. Unlike the sculptural works for which the architect is world renowned, this project will be entirely underground. The project will add 80,000 square feet of new gallery and special exhibition space by excavating under the Museum’s east terrace. Gehry will also renovate the Museum’s interiors. No construction start date has been given. The project is estimated to cost $500 million.
