Isto parece-me uma ideia um tanto ou nada disparatada...

Nuno Teixeira, um designer industrial português, desenhou uma espécie de aparelho televisivo onde podemos cheirar o filme que estamos a ver. Segundo a discrição do designer:

SMELLIT
Taste your movies like you never have

Nowadays we have excellent sound and HD movies in our Home Movie Theatres. But it lacks something of extreme importance, something that will transport you definitely to the center of the action, the sense of smell. So why not go a step forward with SMELLIT?
SMELLIT can make you drool, like when you see that Chef taking a hot and crispy pizza from the oven. Or make you turn your head and wish you can take that "putrefaction" cartridge out of the smell board.

Eu tenho um largo número de filmes cujo os cheiros dispenso... Por outro lado, imaginem o cheiro do Ratatouille! Lembro-me de haver um programa televisivo em Inglaterra em que era posto à venda um livro que depois ao se assistir ao programa se ia raspando sítios no livro que tinham o cheiro daquela cena, ou daquele cozinhado, ou o que fosse. Isto é mais ou menos a mesma coisa! ;)
