What important architecture issues affect Portugal today?

Hello Fellow Colleagues,

First I would like to say thank you for this site, I love to login periodically to see what is going on in the architecture front in Portugal. I am a Luso-Canadian architecture student and I appreciate the energy of this site!

I need to do a research/design project for school and I am interested in doing something that focuses on Portugal and issues of urbanism, architecture, or design. Recently, I have been looking into to how the processes of industrialization and urbanization have impacted the rural villages of inner Portugal. But I don’t want to limit myself to just this.

It is difficult to access updated information on Portugal here, so I would appreciate any discussion about current issues that are affecting our profession as architects/designers in my native homeland.
