Architectural Design Competition and Exhibition

The City of Wilmington is pleased to announce the “Saving Spaces—Progressive Designs for Infill Lots” competition. The City is hosting a juried architectural design competition/exhibition to develop a design catalogue of economical residential infill single family detached and duplex housing units for use within the context of Wilmington’s Historic Districts. Design Excellence Merit Award Winners and Peoples Choice Winner will be published in a catalogue with contact information.

Design Challenge:
To respect the past and embrace the present without creating a false sense of history
To use contemporary materials and designs to create economical housing that is harmonious with the existing historic context.

14th July: Registration Deadline
8th September: Submission Deadline
