Movijovem Youth Hostel, Penhas da Saúde, Serra da Estrela, Portugal, by COMA



This Youth Hostel designed by COMA, Architecture and Design is located in the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, the largest mountain in Portugal, at an altitude of 1500m.





The 690m² hostel contains twenty rooms and a shared living room organised over the buildings two floors.





The panoramic views of the hotels surrounding landscape informed both the internal and external organisation of the hostel.




Guest rooms are positioned around the periphery of the building to utilise the views of the mountain while providing sufficient natural daylight in to the hostel.
